Hi to all,
I am building a low budget system. It's use will be
simple Hd editing with transcoded footage to avid dnxhd 120 or 180. Very
little effects will be used (titling for sure), no DaVinci Resolve or
anything fancy. I have the 8.4.4 version of AMC.
I have two options for CPU:
1. i7 2600K or
2. i5 7600K.
So
it's 4 + (4 virtual cores) or just 4 cores. Which one you think it 'll
serve me better. Will the virtual cores of the 2600k make really big
difference on the simple editing I will be doing (Just hourly lectures, and simple and small you tube videos)? I will be editing only a couple of days every month.
On the same vain for a GPU:
1. an older used Nvidia card like the gtx 550, gtx 560, gtx650, gtx 750 or
2. Quadro K620 (no budget for K1200).
Thank you in advance all of you going to the trouble answering and sharing your real life hardware experience with me.
Please refrain from suggesting some other piece of better hardware (albeit with 50-100 euros extra cost) than those mentioned above.
Let's stay on these choices that are readily available to me.
PS. I know, 16Gb of Ram are mandatory.
