At one of my customers I'm in the process of updating several editing systems, HP z440 Win 10 1703 AJA KONA LHe plus 13.0 from MC 8.6.5 to MC 8.9.1. These systems are in a Nexis, interplay environment.
One of the issues the customer was complaining about in 8.6.5 that on some of the 18 systems, in some sequences adjusting clip gain would at first not seem to work. In the timeline audio level would be adjusted but when playing the sequence audible audio levels stay exactly the same. However after 10-20 seconds the audio level change is applied in an audible fashion.
As the issue was rare and I was never able to see or reproduce this I did not open a case or posted here in the community but today after updating 4 systems to 8.9.1 I have seen the behavior myself on 1 system and am wondering if anybody has ever encountered clip gain adjustments not being applied instantly.
Before I start trying to find a pattern like, specific sequence, specific user, specific machine, mc state, project settings, AJA drivers... does anybody have an idea what could be causing this including an operational mistake or mistakes?
