Just want to check if this is the proper way to work:
Let say that we are working with a reality show, 50 different memorycards(called tapes below) is produced and named with uniqe numbers tape numbers.
* We create an AMA folder in the Avid Project and AMA-link all tapes to their own bin's 1001, 1002, 1003 etc
* We transcode each tape to dnxhd36 and move those clips to a separate folder in the Avid project with bins called 1001-low etc
* The editors work with the lowres media and create their sequences. They will use media from almost all of the 50 tapes.
Question:
How relink the sequences in a smartest way?
Is it to open all the 50 bins's and select all AMA linked clips and then right click the sequence and chose "Selected Items in ALL open bins"?
Or should we during the work duplicate all AMA linked clips and put them in a bin "All AMA" and just open that one when its time for relinking?
or
Is all this abowe easier in MC 8.8.4? (and I should ask my customer to rent some MC licenses)
