Not sure there's an answer to this but here goes.
I have a new Zbook HP laptop with MC 8.5 installed. It's all singing all dancing but the master volume output through the inbuilt speakers is really low. Have had same issue with my last HP elitebook. Is there a laptop issue and or has anyone else had similar problems? My desktop does not suffer from the problem.
All other programs including editing, viewing software are super loud but Avid is and has always been low.
I'm currently on 100% volume and it's so quite. Go to VLC or QuickTime and play same clip and I need to push volume down to 40% and even that's loud.
Question is is there a master volume somewhere in the settings that will bump up the output?
As I said it's a stupid question but need to try something.
