We find the more cuts there are in a multicam sequence the slower going to and from multicam mode becomes... which is probably to be expected but how do we minimise this apart from shortening the sequence.
So if we have a 3 hour 9 way clip we can switch in and out very fast, but once we have edited that into a 45 min sequence then it's painfully slow..
If we have the media offline we get the same result. It seems to be related to the number of cuts in the sequence because if we shorten the sequence then it's better. It isn;t related to speed of drives etc as it's the same with no media
In a normal sequence play length toggle would help this but in switching multicam modes it makes no difference.
Are there any settings to help this, it seems like the overal number of cuts is affecting the speed. Can we force less cuts to be looked at for example?
we tried multicam preload but that doesn;t help and play length doesn;t either
