I'm in a 1080i 59.94 HD Project. When I do a trusty Pan & Zoom and check my render by advancing 1 field at a time, I see movement on each field. Very good, but now I want to try using my third party app for a Pan & Zoom + other FX. Output choices seem limited with regards to Interlaced frames... I can output sequential.png frames from inside a 59.94 project-- giving me 2x extra frames to play with.... There are other Output Export choices within the app, including Uncompressed AVI File , Open EXR, and 12 Bit CineForm Codec.... but I have not had instant luck with any of those formats.
Now I want to try forcing e.g., 120 png frames,(also each with movement), to create a 2 second Interlaced, not a 4 second Progressive masterclip.
Is there a way to do it?
So far, best result I got that sort of does what PanZoom can do easily is this: adding a 200% Timewarp to my 4 second masterclip (made from 240 frame Sequential Import), then using Timewarp FX on timeline using Interlace Source; Interlace Output; and VTR-style Settings. Then each field shows movement over 2 seconds, before freezing on last frame for 2 seconds.
Is there a better way within Avid? A Console command or ??? Thanks for suggestions....
