I'm reviving a project from a couple years ago. Almost all of the media was AMA. All the media was put on a backup drive with the file structure kept in tact exactly and replaced exactly. This workflow used to wok, but no longeer apparantly, like a lot of things in Avid. Almost all of the bins with medis that have clips pointing directly to file paths that have been fully restored remain offline. I have tried relinking the AMA clips to these bins but it just makes new clips that maintain no reference to subclips or sequences - AWESOME! I have also tried making new bins with new AMA clips to the same media, relink to the subclips ot the sequences - NO JOY. GREAT WORK AVID! Once aging you broke what didn't need fixing. Next step will be to export an AAF and work in Resolve or Premiere. Bye Bye Avid after 23 year of HEAVY use. It's almost unusable now. Pretty sure I will not be udating by subscriptions.
