Load contents from clipboard into source monitor. How?

MC 8.44

I copied to clipboard (with copy to clipboard button) and now I want to load the contents into source monitor.

So I click on the clipboard contents button.

But all that happens is this: the contents of the clipboard appear in the timeline instead of the sequence.

I want the clipboard contents in the source monitor. How is this done?
