MC v8.10 & v2018.1 w/BCC Lite - Win 10 and OS 10.13.x issue
We have discovered an issue with Media Composer v8.10 or v2018.1 and BCC Lite trying to activate on Windows 10 or Mac OS 10.13.x ( High Sierra).

It appears to be caused by the Licensing requirement of BCC Lite in accordance with the Avid #’s. Specifically, BCC Lite appears to be equipped to auto-license when it detects Media Composer 8.0.0 through 8.9.9. Since Media Composer v2018.1 use a different versioning number, this version is not recognized by BCC Lite as a legitimate version for license. Along with this, it's possible that Media Composer v8.10 may have the same issue and is seen as higher than the maximum version that BCC Lite will recognize.
In cases where Media Composer v8.10 or v2018.1 is watermarking with BCC Lite, downgrading to Media Composer v8.9.1 for the time being would be recommended.
We are working with Boris to resolve this issue and I will update you once we know more.
