So I finally got lucky and managed to buy a brand new one of these- https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-12gb-gddr6x-video-card/15530045. For the film i've been working on i've been using a four year old Nvidia P5000 and although it couldn't play my 4K screen at anything but HD it was actually playing back pretty smoothly. Now with the new graphics card it stutters playback every so often.
I have installed all the drivers from the software Including the studio drivers. Put my 4K screen down to HD. I tried updating to the latest AVID but no luck.
Is this a bad GPU for AVID?
