so the strangest thing just happened to me now.
working on a 2021.12 MC WIN 11 workstation, been editing a project for a week and a half now. I had to import some DNxHR media from after effects, everything was working so far until suddenly, Avid won't playback any DNxHR clip??? Not even the one that were already linked from and playing fine since a week and a half from the beginning of the project. Not even new ones. All other media (with different codecs) just play perfectly but only the DNxHR appears glitchy or black and won't playback 🤦♂️
i tried uninstalling / reinstalling The software, it just does not recognize DNxHR media that were perfectly handled and that still okay in EVERY other program... It appears glitchy in MC, but then that very same media plays fine in other programs and I can convert them to Prores with external encoders and import them back into MC. The thing is, my timeline was relying on some previous clips that were also DNXHR and I can't play or export them from MC...
All other codecs do play fine! Like absolutely nothing happened on that machine, no software update, mo other project being edited on it. i thought I had seen everything with Avid but I'm just speechless now, as I only needed a couple more hours to finally finish this project and deliver to the client. I guess I can convert all my media to Prores, with the time it will imply.
Anybody had this issue before? I was wondering if there would be a problem with UME? How to reset it if possible?
