Windows 10 Anniversary Update requires NVIDIA driver version R367 U3 (369.09), which can be found in the Utilities subfolder under the Avid installation. According to the Avid version matrix page, this version is not officially qualified. So why is it included with the installation of 8.6.1?
Avid launches fine, but generating thumbnails in the File Browser causes it to shut down, displaying a message that my system lacks sufficient GPU memory. My graphics card is a Quadro 4000, which has 2 GB of memory, and that is supposed to work (yet is the bare minimum needed). Am I to assume that, in order to run Avid on Windows 10 Anniversary Update, I'll need to purchase a graphics card with more memory?
