Hello,
I am using Media Composer 6.5 XXX in a Windows 7 machine
For the first time since using Avid.... have been using it since last Century!, I have used the AMA option.
This is what I did:
In my D drive opened a folder with the name "Xmas 2016."
To it I copied my video camera files (Canon Vixia G30)
Copied several .jpg files from still cameras.
Copied 2 video files from an Apple telephone
Everything was edited with no problem.
I rendered In/Out.
Tried to export to a QuickTime Movie.... the reason is that one copy of that QTM will be copied to a folder for future mixing with other sequences and creating a long DVD.
The other copy of the QTM will be used to burn a DVD right now.
There is no way I can Export.
Got the following messages:
Avid Media Composer: Exception: std: exception, What: [CQTExport Working ThreadBody] Threads: SevdThreadMessage: Thread message queue full Main Thred. Deferred Display Wait.
When I clik on the OK button, that window disappears and there is no QTM to be found in the Desktop.
Tried again, deselecting the Avid Codecs option. A different message appeared:
Exception: AMEDeferredTaskExecutor: ThreadBody - Uncaught Exception.
Tried to export as a QuickTime reference and was told that with AMA, that can not be made.
Tried to export an .AVI file. Got this very strange message: Maximum Size of AVI file has vbeen reached. Output might not be completed. There was an icon on my desktop. Clicked on it and the total length of the clip was 2 minutes. In reality, the whole sequence is 28 minutes long.
I have not changed, added or done anything different to my computer, so I will have to assume that the AMA way of doing things might be missing something, although everything displays OK on the Timeline and can be edited like any other sequence.
Is there a trick to export a QTM with the way I worked this sequence, and still be able to used the QTM as indicated above?
Thanks for the info and help.
Bert
